Course Description

In this course, participants will be introduced to the Risk Based Inspection (RBI) Methodology that Meridium uses in order to calculate and assign Probability of Failure (POF) and Consequence of Failure (COF). Course attendees will determine the factors that are used for various degradation mechanism evaluations such and Internal Corrosion, Environmental Cracking, etc. Participants will also discuss how inspection strategies are generated and reviewed based on the ranking of the particular damage mechanisms.

When you complete this course, you will be able to:

- Explain how to use the RBI methodology

- Explain the benefits of using the RBI assessments

- Understand the RBI methodology including, probability of failure and consequence of failure analysis, Risk Factor Values, and Inspection Strategy Creation and Evaluation

It is strongly recommended to complete Course 4000 Foundation, 7509 Meridium Mechanical Integrity Work Process Fundamentals before beginning this course, as it provides essential concepts and context that support successful progression.
