In this 8-hour course, you’ll explore Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) Management. SIS Management is software that follows safety rules set by the IEC Functional Safety standards. Using the SIS Management module, you’ll analyze Safety Integrity Levels (SIL). SIL assessments help evaluate how well existing Safety Instrumented Systems work and identify areas that need extra protection. By assigning a numeric SIL to each Safety Instrumented Function, you’ll understand its level of reliability in reducing risk.
It is strongly recommended to complete Course 4000 APM Foundation before beginning this course, as it provides essential concepts and context that support successful progression.
